Stop the Bleed Training

Uncontrolled bleeding is the leading cause of preventable death from trauma. Traumatic injuries with severe bleeding result in approximately 60,000 fatalities per year. Rapid response and treatment of these injuries (within 3-5 minutes) is critical to positive outcomes. NCEMS offers "STOP the Bleed" training to New Canaan businesses, schools, community organizations, and church groups, free-of-charge.

File of Life

In a medical emergency, every minute counts.  A File of Life is an easily accessible health record you fill out, and put in a magnetic holder that can be affixed to a refrigerator or other metal surface, which clearly states your doctors, medical history, allergies and medications.
